This seems to be the closest to the RED/BLACK Nikon L810 Coolpix but I found this camera had more bang for the buck and it seemed to be a newer model too. So I wondered if maybe Samsung took that 26 zoom and improved on it. I have seen another listing here where the person didn't get clear pics with theirs.

Overall this is a great camera and I have had no problems out of it and I haven't stopped taking pics with it since I got it. If you want a good camera to take family pics I would reccommend this one all day long.

Andrew Battye:I bought a Samsung WB100 in March 2013 and less than 6 months later it is falling apart!!! The features and zoom are excellent but the quality is terrible!!! The rubber handgrip is peeling off and the Samsung agent inspecting it said 'You must be holding it wrongly and have damaged it by holding it wrongly!!! It is a handgrip! there is no other way to hold it!

Just Me "Customer" (USA):First of all, this camera seems sturdier then the DV300f. The Wifi connectivity is much better in this model, so emailing and uploading pictures to Facebook is much better. In the Dv300f the wifi is hit or miss....which is really strange. This one has all the options, plus some as the Dv300f. The beauty palette is a fun feature to have too! I think the only option it doesn't have that the dv300f does, is the funny face app that warps your face. You really don't need that anyway!

Do yourself a favor and avoid or at least compare images with processing in both the supplied converter and in Photoshop.

Jack McKay (Port Ludlow, WA, US:You can buy image stabilized Samsung lenses (like the 18-55mm) if that is a concern. Shooting with the 20-50mm kit lens, I never once had any issues. However, in low light situations, it might come into play. Again, in my case, my G1 and f1.7 20mm would be my preferred choice, but I could get by with the NX1000. It has good image quality at high ISO and even ISO 3200 is usable many times. ISO 1600 is very good and ISO 800 is very clean.

Mary:In general, as far as controls, the design is well thought out and Samsung offers some unique and original twists such as the "Fn" and "iFn" control buttons which allow easy access to the main things you'd want to "tweak" when shooting. The controls work well and the "ring/wheel" control works very well. I was a bit skeptical, but in use I really liked it. For example, when flipping through your shots in playback mode it works very well and you can scroll through the images very quickly.

I shot about 100 pictures in various settings and even though I did not think the WiFi was something I cared about... it has been a real pleasure to use. Full auto works ok, but P is the way to go for your best exposure. The flash worked reasonably well to about 12 feet or so. Any further in a less then normal to dimly lit room, and you will find your subject under exposed. On the other side, any closer then 4 feet and you will find your subject over exposed. The camera has a flash fill setting, but I found no difference between fill and auto.

It's not as compact as some but way smaller than the larger zoom cameras and is a great compromise.

M. Sarkar:The placement of the pop-up flash, closer to the middle of the body is much more ergonomic than many other cameras. Unlike the Sony and Canon travel zoom models in/above this price range, you can grip the camera quite nicely with BOTH hands and not have to worry about having a finger over the flash. You have to press a button to pop the flash up. I'm sure users' feelings are mixed about having to manually pop the flash.

John kaufman (MADISON, OH, US):This was my main consideration when buying a new camera. I have to say that the camera does not disappoint me at all. I've taken indoor low light pics, as well as outdoor pictures of my dogs running around at full speed with only the automatic settings, and the pictures have all come out better than expected. Action shots are frozen and crisp, and close up portraits are significantly better than I expected, not $1200 DLSR quality, but for a sub $200 point and shoot, WAY better than expected - I doubt the average person could tell the difference. The portraits show clear subject, no distortion, excellent color and shallow depth of field just like a DLSR and all on auto settings.
